So this is a bit of an outlier. I had worked with director Ant Blades a few times on his brilliant short animated films. One Friday evening he called me to ask if I could have a go at coming up with a theme song for his new series. I was on a heavy deadline to delver music for a series first thing Monday and really didn’t think I’d be able to. But come late Sunday night I had sent off the music and if only to save face I thought I better give it a go. Knowing little about the show except it’s title I set up a mic , grabbed a guitar , and sang pretty much the first thing that came into my head.

It was quite a surprise when a week or so later a nice producer at Nickelodeon called me to say they loved it! I did another pass with a few more words and added a few instruments but the song is pretty much as it came out first go.
